Palermo" (IASF Palermo) , founded by Livio Scarsi, is
part of the "National Institute of Astrophysics", INAF.
activities at IASF Palermo concern experimental and
observational astronomy in the X-ray and Gamma-ray energy bands, high
energy cosmic rays, design and realization of scientific
instrumentation (telescopes) for space missions
(satellites,stratospheric balloons) and ground-based observatories,
researches in methods and methodologies for images and data analysis.
Since January 2005, IASF Palermo is the new name for the Istituto di Fisica Cosmica con Applicazioni
